Eyewear FAQ:

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get my glasses from you without an eye appointment?

Yes, we happily fill outside prescriptions.

How do you select your lenses?

We take great pride in getting to know you and understand how you use your eyes. We ask lots of questions, as there are many factors to consider when selecting lenses for a patient. We have over 25 years of experience, we know what works well and in what situations.

How do I choose glasses that my child will actually wear, without breaking the bank?

Let them have fun! You wouldn’t want to wear something that didn’t make you feel special, would you? We are parents, and understand that any item that a child wears should look good, feel good, and make both the child and the parent happy.

How can I prolong the life of my eyeglasses?

Eyeglasses can be the most worn item a person has! Many people wear their glasses 15 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If glasses are not on your face, they should be in their case! Periodically, glasses will need to have screws tightened or replaced, and we are happy to do that for you. Eyeglass lenses should always be cleaned with a soft cloth and a lens cleaner, never wipes or paper products.

How often should I get a new pair of glasses?

Modern materials are designed to last 12-24 months. Manufacturers’ warranties are generally 12 months from the date of purchase.
